The Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV was previewed by the brand’s Prophecy Concept.
Hyundai has released the first teaser of its upcoming Ioniq 6 EV for the global market. The short teaser video, though, doesn’t reveal any details of the upcoming EV, apart from a silhouette inspiration and a tagline which reads “Electrified Streamliner”.
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV was previewed by the brand’s Prophecy Concept, with the final model expected to carry forward many of the design elements into production. The final production-spec Hyundai Ioniq 6 will use the brand’s e-GMP platform, which also underpins the Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6.
The electric sedan is expected to be powered by a 77.4 kWh battery pack with dual motors (one on each axle). The electric powertrain on the Ioniq 6 is expected to offer around 300 BHP. Hyundai is also expected to introduce a N Performance version of the Ioniq 6, which will put out around 576 BHP, similar to Kia’s EV6 GT version.
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is expected to have its global debut sometime in the coming months.
