The C3 Aircross is expected to be unveiled simultaneously in Asia and Brazil and could go on sale by the end of 2023.
Citroen is working on a new 7-seater SUV for emerging markets like India and Brazil. A new report now sheds more light on the upcoming model.
The Citroen C3-based 3-row SUV project is codenamed CC24. Rumours suggest that it could be called the C3 Aircross. While its design is expected to be inspired by the C5 Aircross, it is unlikely to share parts with the larger SUV. The report states that the car will feature the brand’s split-headlamp design but may not use the new logo.
The Citroen C3 Aircross will be based on the CMP modular platform with a 2.62-metre wheelbase and an overall length of 4.40 metres. Currently, the C3 is offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 81 BHP and 115 Nm and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 108 BHP and 190 Nm. It is said that the 7-seater model could come with a turbo-petrol engine.
Reports further suggest that the C3 Aircross is expected to be unveiled simultaneously in Asia and Brazil and could go on sale by the end of 2023.
